Pepsi & Shirlie nascono come coriste degli Wham! (gruppo composto da George Michael e Andrew Ridgeley), poi formano un duo pop inglese che ha realizzato due album: All right now del 1987 e Changes del 1991.

La loro unica hit è stata Heartache, che è arrivata al numero 2 delle classifiche britanniche.

Shirlie Holliman (nata il 18 aprile del 1962 a Watford) ha sposato nel 1988 Martin Kemp, membro del gruppo degli Spandau Ballet. Mentre Lawrie “Pepsi” DeMarque (nata il 10 dicembre 1960 a Paddington) ha lasciato l’ambiente musicale e ora vive in Australia.
